Give each week a name.
In Doctrine, you close every Sunday by naming the week in one line. The name stays on its box, and over the years the grid fills with your own words.

Remember that you will die.
Memento mori is a later Latin saying, but the idea runs all through the Stoics. They kept death in view to spend their days well, not to dwell on it.
“Let death and exile, and all other things which appear terrible, be daily before your eyes, but death chiefly; and you will never entertain an abject thought, nor too eagerly covet anything.”
“Thus it is: we do not receive a short life, but we make it a short one, and we are not poor in days, but wasteful of them.”
Questions
How many weeks are in a life?
Eighty years of 52 weeks is 4,160 weeks. Ninety years is 4,680, and a hundred is 5,200. The grid draws 52 to a row, so each row is one year of your age.
What does memento mori mean?
It is Latin for “remember that you must die.” The phrase is a later saying, but the idea runs all through the Stoics: they kept death in view so they would spend their days well.
Is my birth date stored or sent anywhere?
No. The grid is drawn in your browser. Nothing you type on this page is saved or sent.
How are the weeks counted?
Each row runs from one birthday to the next, so the last week of a row can be a few days longer. This week is the week that contains today’s Thursday, the same count the Doctrine app uses.
Can I print it?
Yes. Fill in your birth date and choose Print your grid. The page prints the grid alone, as a memento mori calendar for your wall.
